CPiO, a well-established Sage and ERP supplier, approached us with a clear goal: boost their search engine rankings and improve visibility for key products such as “Sage 200 Standard” and “Sage 200 Professional”. Our collaboration, spanning over 2020-2022, focused on enhancing SEO performance, keyword strategy, PPC management, and providing website advice.

Our partnership kicked off with a detailed SEO and website audit. We began by identifying opportunities for improving CPiO’s on-page SEO, focusing on meta data optimisation, keyword density, heading structures, and addressing technical elements like broken links and page load times. This review enabled us to craft a focused keyword strategy tailored to their core ERP and Sage products.

Simultaneously, we launched a new PPC strategy. This included extensive keyword research and the development of multiple search ads, each tested for effectiveness. Our management involved ongoing tweaking and adjustments based on performance, ensuring optimal results. For the first few months, we worked on refining CPiO’s Google Ads campaigns, adjusting ad groups, and redistributing the budget based on ad performance.

Building topical authority was a crucial component of our approach to SEO. After laying the groundwork, we implemented a Hub+Spoke content strategy to position Sage 200, Sage X3, and Intacct as key focal points across the website. Over six months, we produced 30,000 words of copy across various pages and blog posts, integrating internal linking strategies to maximise keyword relevance and SEO performance.

Our content creation efforts were specifically designed to target both primary and secondary keywords for Sage products, carefully structured to ensure strong internal linking and a seamless user journey. We also focused on technical SEO, improving keyword usage, and conducting mini SEO audits to make sure CPiO’s site remained in top condition.

Beyond hands-on SEO and PPC management, we also provided CPiO with SEO training to empower their team to manage activities internally. This included a half-day training session covering the essentials of keyword research, meta data optimisation, and SEO best practices.
