CASE STUDY: SL Shop
The SL Shop had undergone significant change and growth in recent years but their eCommerce website hadn’t kept up. After finding us on Google, The SL Shop met with Opace to see how we could help.
We discussed the complexities of the business and various options, including rebuilding the website in WordPress with WooCommerce, continuing with Magento 1, upgrading to Magento 2 and even a hybrid approach of using WordPress and Magento together. After evaluating all of the options, we recommended the full migration, rebranding and rebuild of their Magento 1 website using the new-and-improved Magento 2 platform. Implementation of our recommendations delivered a responsive and mobile-friendly website with a fresh new design.
The Result
The project included a series of bespoke designs, rebuild using Magento 2, responsive development, performance upgrades and various functional enhancements, including improved search facilities, one-page checkout and stock management. We’ve even carried out a full seo audit and optimised the speed of the website to achieve much faster load times, with speed scores increasing from 24/100 to 85/100 using Google PageSpeed Insights.
