Long-term digital support for a vital charity.
Since 2010, we have established a successful long-term relationship with Acorns Children’s Hospice, providing a range of invaluable services, including web design, eCommerce, SEO, hosting and ongoing technical support.
Having created a Joomla website for Acorns Children’s Hospice back in 2010 and providing ongoing technical support over the years, the charity chose us again in 2015 to rebuild their website using a fresh new design and modern approach to web development. We agreed that a responsive mobile-friendly website was a must and recommended WordPress over Joomla, combined with a powerful Page Builder framework called Divi to help Acorns keep in full control of their content and design.
We managed the huge migration of content from Joomla to WordPress while at the same time delivering the keyword research and site-wide SEO to help the website become more effective in Google. Since the new website went live, we’ve provided training, ongoing technical support, SEO consultancy and continual enhancements to the website. Our most recent projects have included the development of a new WooCommerce online shop, microsite and events system for Acorns. These ongoing projects are important to ensure that the charity communicates effectively to its stakeholders and continues to raise the vital funds required to keep the service going.
