CASE STUDY: Cauli Rice
Project Description:
A detailed review of Cauli Rice’s website SEO to deliver genuine improvements in page rankings Cauli Rice asked us to deliver a full audit of their Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), with follow-up work to improve UK and US search engine rankings and visibility. This was an exciting project which offered us an opportunity to demonstrate our in-depth understanding of technical SEO.
Cauli Rice was launched in the UK in September 2015 as the first long-life cauliflower available globally. The product range is preservative-free, gluten-free and vegan, is quick to cook, long-life and readily available in supermarkets. The first part of the project involved a 7-stage process to fully analyse SEO activity, including:
- A Google penalty assessmen
- Review of Google analytics and the Google search console
- Evaluation of keywords, metadata and website content
- Analysis of website speed
- Review of mobile website optimisation and performance
- Review of inbound links and rich snippets
- A review of WordPress elements and general website design and content
Upon completion of the review we delivered a keyword and technical SEO analysis across the website. We then focussed on improving international SEO. We identified a number of technical issues which had a particularly negative impact in the US. To help address these problems we provided website copywriting and digital marketing support. This included an emphasis on the creation and optimisation of Google+ and YouTube profiles, resulting in enhanced brand visibility on Google.
The Result
We were able to deliver a significant improvement in overall site visibility on Google, with 50+ keyword improvements, achieving page 1 ranking for key phrases such as ‘Cauliflower Rice’.
